SRD to scale back V8 involvement? There is speculation that Chevy team owner Simon Topham may be about to cut back the involvement of SRD International in V8 Thunder next season. Topham says he intends to devote more time to racing for Hatchell-Pennine MDB in Race2Play, but conceded that if another team member stepped up, SRD may remain.
"I've expanded my series in Race2Play to include Panoz GT2, Formula BMW and Formula Nippon. With 2 of these mods being brand new to me, I'm spending more time practicing. As of right now, I don't have the time to spend on V8. If someone wants to take over the running of the V8 team, they can come to me to discuss things, otherwise SRD won't be on the grid in 2010.
