Thought i'd better post something as people seem quite shocked and surprised at this!
Firstly, this is nothing about SRD at all. They have been a tremendous team to work with, all the guys; Simon and Bruce, Jack, Mathieu, Marc, CJ, past drivers Mark and Rich and any others i've forgotten.
It really has been a pleasure to be part of such a committed team to V8 and I really enjoyed learning the ropes with them. However after 5 (?) seasons with the team, I felt I needed a change, a change that would reignite my interest in V8 and online racing in general. If at all possible, if this vMax thing goes downhill then I would like to possibly return to SRD one day, dunno whether that would happen but who knows.
Anyway therefore I took the decision to join vMax. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was a decision that has been on my mind for some time (indeed I was contemplating this before the Aut 2008 season). I guess I just needed to decide if I was ready to make such a big change. However, I felt I couldn't make this leap without my best pal from the league Martin. I think we can really become a great team in vMax once again after a terrible season for them. It would be nice to also race the guys I once worked with (SRD) on track and have a solid three way battle going on again in the form of vMax vs. SRD vs. Ecosse. I'm already hyped up for next season.
So anyway yeah, apologies to Simon for not informing him of my decision, but I only made it last night along with Martin in an interesting conversation with Caspar. At the same time I look forward to racing with vMax in what is a new chapter in my V8Thunder racing career.
