Install the attached program in your NR2003 directory, backup your core.ini and rend_dxg.ini files (in the same directory) and run the file NR Graphic Tweaker.exe, you will get a box popup like this:

Image

Instructions are pretty simple, UNTICK the box labelled MaxBlockSize and click Apply New Settings.

Run NR and you should see an instant improvement, there's also a further guide somewhere on the interweb so I'll dig it out sometime and add a link, some stuff might still be blurred but not as bad, blurring happens when either the graphics card settings are wrong (all the time if not set by this) or if your PC simply can't cope with drawing all the details, so your GPU will cut down the mipmap detail so that it can at least render a few frames.

MaxBlockSize should ideally be set at either what I've got it set at, or 524288, don't let NRGraphicTweaker set it otherwise NR get's a bit unstable.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

how can I do this?

you can spare it 1000mb minimum and maximum. This will prevent your HD from resizing it's memory Swap file during racing and eliminate some stuttering that occurs during game play. It's best to defrag often or even partition your HD with a 1gig partition and assign your virtual memory to that.

just open up rend_dxg.ini and put a - in front of the texture set value.

Can anyone post me a picture of what they regard as "blurry" please?
Maybe a "BEFORE", and "AFTER" picture would be nice?
- I just want to see if it is worth "twidling" with things or not?

Does changing to these different graphic settings affect your FPS?

Kind regards,
Mike

2 things:

i downloaded all files and some were twice ( i was prompted if i want to overwrite).

second: i put them into the BRcup mod. I dont know if all cars there were the same, but i could just zip my folder and uplaod it here for newbies. it was just a 5min hazzle i could save time. but where is a permanent upload area?

Right this is odd. Wanted to run this tonight to sort the gfx out but when i tried to run the program it said there was a file missing. Downloaded the program again and went to install but then it said that I have insufficient hard disk space, despite having at least 50gb free on all of them. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm running a 1070 GPU but for some reason it doesn't support 32x csaa anti aliasing... it just crashes the game when it starts when i try to force it on the nVidia inspector :s anyone know a way round this?
