Installing mods

I had to reinstall NR2k3 after a virus forced me to install Win Xp again.

Now i have the problem that after i installed all the mods, i can't choose between the mods.

i ve got more problems. It crashes to desktop.

If you can't choose the mods then something went wrong with the update (it patches the files rather than updating them).
That crash report looks like you're graphics settings are fubar, run the config.exe prog and reset the graphics to something lower, say 800x600x32 and see if it starts then.

If all else fails, uninstall everything and start again, do you still have that PM I (think) I sent you a while back with all the links in?

You never have any luck with PC's do you!

nope..... at both questions... :wall:

I also had problems with the Bobs track builder program, but it solved after i updated the directx files. Dx10.

What is the right way to install everything.
i did this:

1. NR2k3 cd rom > install original game.
2. patch 1.2.0.1.
3. 1.2.0.1. fix.
4. installing the mods: ASA2004, NCTS09, GNS.
5. no cd rom. (have to do this, the game hangs sometimes when racing online using the cd )

pff.. a lot of corrupted files... maybe because of some damage on the HDD's.

Have installed the game, patched it to 1.2.0.1 and it works without cd rom.
Still the mods won't show up after installing.

hmmm, using a no-cd exe I presume?

Make sure it's the 1.2.0.1. no cd patched exe

IIRC, there are several v1 no-cd patches floating around, they will work, and they will report the game as 1.2.0.1 on the bootmenu and about screens, but the little series selection tabs are missing.

Just guessing it's that, pretty sure I've had that head scratching problem before too.

Virtual CD ftw here. Daemon tools, alcohol, etc.

I want to run the program with a NoCD patch indeed.
I used a different one.

The point is that there are two patches. a 1201 patch and a fix over this patch.

try the no-cd fix i posted, it's the one I use so if you still can't see the mods then we need to look elsewhere for the problem.

only other reason I can think of is most mods install by default to c:\papyrus\nascar racing..... if you've got the game installed on E drive, well you know did you forget to change the path?

After struggling with an awfull PC, it is finaly stable again. I replaced the Mainboard and the GPU card.

It has now these specs:
Asus M4A78 PRO,sAM2/AM3
Asus EN9500GT 1GB
AMD Athlon x2 6400+ xp.
2GB kingston RAM.
