My windows movie maker has always been working fine, until this day. When I finished the movie and tried to save it as a seeable moviefile (just a normal file from about 20 mb), this message is being shown:

Image

This is being shown each time I try it: I've tried even saving it as 5 mb and even 1 mb, I remade the movie several times and moved the original files but nothing seemed to work. Most of the movies are being taken with CCM Camera Control Master, and then with Fraps. The only thing that is different from other times is the CCM, but it cannot be that right?\

If someone can help me, please do. I'm getting desperate, the movie has cost me over 10 hours !!

Firstly, you've still got the files that you were editing with on the hard drive? Seems obvious but you'd be suprised.
Secondly, when you used CCM & GPL2AVI, what codec did you use?
Thirdly, got enough free disc space?

#1. I still have them yes
#2. What?
#3. I do have (30GB, for a movie of 20MB :P)

I found out that if I try to save the movie after having only made the first 2 minutes, it still works, but after having added more than that it doesn't. (myabe not exactly 2 minutes, but it seems that I've added to many pieces which is weird. Does it have to do with my MB RAM maybe? I "only" have 1GB of RAM)

EDIT: It seems that is the problem. What I'm going to do now is: I cut the movie into 2 parts, save them separetely and then put them together into 1 moviemaker file and save it again (Lot of work, but if it helps ;) it really it a great movie!!!!)

Are you on FAT32 file system? sounds like you're hitting the 4GB file size limit for some reason (although that doesn't really compute tbh, you'd think the WMM would know that and adjust the working file size).

It's a great movie, Gino. (Although I did watch it without the sound on, as I had just got in from work and everyone else was asleep. )

You will like it even better with sounds on, the movie is made on the sound :P

And @ Ian: All the movies were about 200mb big, so that's it then. I passed the 4 GB, didn;t know there was a border :P Now I know, I know how to avoid it ;)

4GB is 4000MB (roughly) so I don't think it was that unless Move Maker really is that crap

it is  but works for me, no time to learn other device so with this in my mind I can now make any movie :P

Have in mind that this movie was already done just 1 hour after the Daytona race, but it cost me a lot of time to overcome this problem :P which I did :D:D:D
