Pistol Pete`s 3ds max Workshop

Hi Folks

For a while i got 3ds max and so i spend a lot of time with this awesome programm.
Its a realy hard job to learn with it and the time is going on & on & on........and suddenly its realy dark outside.

At first i will present my "first steps" of my work.
It isnt finished and i hope i will be able enough any time to present a new Pitbox for the game and a render scene also.

Now a picture of a Render scene i am working also:
There will come tires,fuel cans and a lot of utilitys to make it full realism.

At last a picture of a result i am working for.
It should be a render scene in the future.
For the moment all the decals are placed with Photoshop.
The wagon decals are made also from myself a long time ago.

You can finished it when i did my job.
It isnt ready yet,and i think i need some days...weeks,...month....
Maybe we have a new Pitstall this year,who knows.

The show is going on....

I know that there are some little mistakes to work out,
but you can see whats going on in Pistol Pete`s Pit Road.

The 3ds max decal templates kills me,i am sure :roll:

Time after time it looks like as it has to look.

Pistol Pete,

If you want this wagon in the sim, it is quite important that your template for the warwagon is backwards compatible if it is to be successful.

That is, you can try to put the advertising over the wall but it will need to come from the pitcrew texture file. It can be done, but perhaps not in the way you currently have it.

But nice work bud, I'm interested to see where this is going.

you're also gonna need co-operation from track builders, as the warwagon position is based on the pitstall location of the car, oh and places like Bristol and Kentucky they won't work because of the curved wall.

Well,this Original wagon is not only for the sim.

At first i´d like to learn to work with max to get a nice render scene.

I have a lot of save files in differend styles here,with and without wall banner,with and without tires, aso.

The progress is stoped for a while because i have a lot do with my job for the moment.

I never made a Crew Template.
All i did was to give the wagon some options like this ( Including a new Official):
