Andreas, The server is looping!
I've just run some laps,
I was running a few RACE laps, so maybe this was why you couldn't get on?n Check you have everything correct to get on?

Have you got everything set up correctly?
Here is what you need:

TRACK FOR EVENT: Daytona_Shootout_V8.7z = http://www.v8thunderonline.co.uk/series/tracks/Daytona_Shootout_V8.7z

Track is same as Daytona 2011 Night V8 but with updated track surface textures, re-aligned racing grooves and correct lap data for the event.

question, are these cars the same as we used in last years trophy season ? I mean can we reuse the paintjobs ?

Yes and no Matt, if you used the "Sprint Cup" paint (with front splitter), no, if you used this update pack during the season, then yes, you can simply rename the carfile from that and reuse the paintjobs i converted last year.

You can get the BRCup mod with the converted carset, or just the carset itself here.

I forgot to move the downloads thread last night into the right place, sorry :oops:

I hope it's not overly confusing, but it seemed a shame to waste the paints and force you to repaint the car on the new template when I'd already done it 9 months ago.

I didn't use the updates last year so I need to download the converted pack now.

it's only a 8bytes file, which appears to be corrupted, so I guess there's a little problem there...

If youre new car is a BR cup 2011 car you mustnt convert it.

If it is a 2010 COT car,ian did that job and spend the download for all

I think he means from DMR Cup11s or whatever it's called, in that case, you might as well paint the car from scratch.

For reasons that go beyond my comprehension, Denis and Jerry go out of their ways to make their mods paints as incompatible with each other as possible, which is a shame cos if they just dropped their petty differences, the whole community would be much better off overall and they could pool their resources and make some kick ass stuff.

This is the reason why I haven't ever done a Cup/NW/Truck based mod and turned down an offer to make one a few weeks ago, too much ego b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t controlling the modding scene.
