Hi guys

Having reinstalled 3DSMax for the first time since my comp went tits-up, I fancy trying to learn how to do renders. I've downloaded a template from Masgrafx, fired up the .max file included, but I get multiple errors saying that certain textures don't load, the end result being I end up with a black silhouet car. Where/what file format do I save the carfile as, and just generally are there any decent guides to how to do it? Or any other decent render models besides those at Masgrafx?

I think that's because most of MasGrafx's 3D Studio files are using Brazil, make sure you get one that doesn't require Brazil..

With regards to tutorials, there's a very basic one on NASCARNET (Now NNRacing.com, I believe), it's for version 5 but it helped me get the basics. Of course, I'm pretty lame at it so better people to answer.

Do a search for Eruiz, that's the guy who posted the tut.
