I assume the main purpose of this thing is to keep debris or other object from hitting the driver, like it happened with Massa or Justin Wilson?

I really like how it also keep the wind out of visor cam footage. The sound is a lot better now.

Yes Dixon commented on how quiet it was in the cockpit now, but a lot warmer because of no air, so I suspect they'll need to address that with cool suits before the thing is introduced.

Must better than HALO, at least this thing is hardly noticeable, although I still think they're going to have bigger problems this year with no rear pods and these HALO/shield things are fixing problems that doesn't exist solely to appease the snowflake brigade who want to wrap everybody in bubble wrap.

About sums it up pretty well. Not too worried about what Indycar does though, but more about what NASCAR is gonna screw up next :lol:
