Whatever we do we will have to change physics next year which will also mean a new mod, so it will probably either be this or 2018, depends on whether this has any major bugs in it.
What have I missed, a forced physics change? or are we just talking the superficial stuff as per ususal.
It is planned to run CTS physics at tracks where NASCAR runs the new intermediate package for 1.5 mile tracks and over except Daytona 500 to adapt our league to NASCAR's new package.
Horsepower is pretty close. The affected tracks are (from Jaski):
Las Vegas-1, California, Texas-1, Talladega-1, Kansas-1, Charlotte-1, Michigan-1, Chicagoland, Daytona-2, Kentucky, Michigan-2, Indianapolis, Las Vegas-2, Talladega-2, Kansas-2, Texas-2
So as I understand we will basically run two mods, the cup mod and the cts mod.
All this is much more likely to backfire on NASCAR than it is on us, because CTS at least works well in NR2003, but I think their package is gonna make cup racing at these tracks much less appealing.
I.e. no more 200+ mph at Michigan etc. I really don't get why NASCAR teams go along with this, maybe it cost pressure, but big ones cost money too lol.
But we'll have to wait and see I guess.
It should make our races at these tracks much greener though, since I believe the likelyhood of self spins is gonna diminish significantly with the reduces hp.
