tbh you were spoilt during the earlier part of this century, that was more like NASCAR of old back in the 80's and 90's where last lap passes were rare and a single file rim-riding train was the norm.

There's a reason they run up by the wall, the wall produces less drag because the air that would normally go out off the side of the car, is forced up over the roof instead.

Pretty nice race, except for the Buschmaster
Was about time for one of King Carl's concrete cracking backflips

Was a good finish, side by side racing is lots of fun. Jimmie ought to be thanking Hamlin for screwing over Brad, hehe!

Yes you can do monthly with 247 too but at the moment im so busy that i rarely get chance to sit down and watch the races live, and recording them is a nightmare so unless i go down the premier sports route (unlikely) the best option may be to use streams like last night (which, btw, ran flawlessly, thanks!)

Does anyone know what Hamlin meant by 'green tires'?

I presume he mean new ones.

Edit, now I've listened, I think he's talking about environmentally friendly ones, I know NASCAR is on the green bandwagon when it comes to fuel so it would be no surprise to hear the next thing will be retreads or something.

Yea, their enviromarketing has been annoying for years. Like anyone does even really care about how eco-friendly NASCAR is :lmao:
I think it's np if they use more sustainable products for build them or have them stacked by hippies, but the wear issue has been adressed more than once by several drivers and in my opinion NASCAR should not have it affect the racing that significantly.
Sometimes I just don't get NASCAR

Not sure what comments the fine is in reference to, but if NASCAR suspends him for saying the uuhhh I don't know, let's hope this doesn't get too ugly.
NASCAR's ban on free speech kinda pisses me off a bit though

He said the cars were really hard to overtake in and still suffered badly from aero push.

One day NASCAR might realise the problem lays with the splitter and valance, the teams run the cars on the bumpstops to seal the floor off, effectively turning it into a ground effects car, but unlike a proper GE car it relies on the downforce produced by the aero on the nose to seal off the splitter. In the draft there's no air hitting the top of the nose to push it down, so the valance doesn't seal off and the car pushes like a dumptruck.

Removing the roofcam like they've done won't make a jot of difference :lmao:

They removed the roofcam? What r-tards! And I don't say that because I race roofcam, but because it delivered the best onboard footage
Yea they should get rid of bumpstops and the splitters, and have them have some ground clearance again imo

And that's the comment they fined him for? Jeez, it's obviously nothing but a statement of truth lol
So the new car sucks just as much, and NASCAR didn't want it to come out this early?
HAHA, actually pretty funny when you think about it :lmao:

They had a big test today at Vegas, I think the lack of press releases tells enough of a story :)
