Credits goto Dave "woofgm" Reuille for his work on the templates, cars and painting of all the pit crews, JRFranklin, Matt O'Reilly & Mike Cooper for beta testing, and Kyle O'Neill for his fantastic artwork used on the mainback screen.

The mod includes 76 fully rated AI cars total, (38 Road, 38 Oval) which include the 26 that started at St Pete this year, plus 12 fantasy schemes painted by Dave Reuille.

GET IT HERE..

Best of luck to Ruben in the FSB Indy 500!

Thanks, but I'm not allowed in either
Only paying weekly series full-timers may race in it
But I would only have raced, if they used OWR physics anyway

I'd love to, but it would be a bit boring with me, you Ruben and Mike racing them.

Then we have to wait until next winter and starting a 100 % race when the trophy series is finished. :asleep:

If we could gets 14 to 16 guys to race this mod with us on a weekly basis, would be awesome.
1 race a week, oval distance 80 to 100 percent, road course 50 to 60.

4/5 Ovals, 1/5 Road Courses or so.

Smiffsden FB page has 677 Likes, gotta be able to find 15 to 20 lazy rear ends to race with us

We could hold races at mid night or so, so guys from overseas can join the fun

Maybe we can attract a sponsor or two, to fund a purse for each event, that would get the grid filled

Many thanks for the "Beta Testing" credit Ian!

I have just run some laps at Michigan, with this mod!
I think you should re-name me "Crash Tester" -
I like the realism you get when you hit the wall.
You can see the track rods, and steering rods bend on impact!

The cars are looking really good.
I have tried several different driving views.
With v1.1 my FPS are O.K.
I have tried with different Options Settings to get the best FPS.

I could really do with a couple of Base Setups to try a few other tracks.
Can I use some that we used for the OWR series, or are they completely different?
Have you got any please Ian?
Or perhaps for just one Track (Your suggestion Ian?)
Just so I can run a few more laps without spinning and/or crashing!

Kind regards,
Mike

Ian,
can you tell how many people have downloaded this mod so far?

Regards,
Mike

nearly 700.

I've posted a track.ini update for Indy Revamped here because this particular version of the mod uses the Transam physics.

It's quiet fun still.

So it must be possible to open a EUROPEAN INDY 500 SERIES with 30 drivers from France / England / Germany and the rest of europe.

We have to make some advertisement at SRD and some other race sim organisations here in europe.

100% racelenght with fixed setup will be nice

I downloaded the Track, and ran some laps!
Still crashing -
- until I tweaked the Fast Set up to my liking!
After about two laps the grip came, as the tyre temperature rose, and I was fine!
AI's were still kicking my butt, until I started drafting with them, and then I was doing some respectable laps, once I found a steady rhythm.
I had a look at the cars Ian has painted already - they are really looking good! - Great Work!
Kind regards,
Mike

Yeah you do kind of get freight trained on the first couple of laps (because the AI start with perfectly hot tyres and you don't) but then the fun is drafting back up through the pack.

Thanks Smithers!

What season does that mod represent? The cars look to me like the old Dallaras of the early 2000 decade, when Sam Hornish became champion. Are there any chassis diferences or are all cars equal?
